Top 10 2010 Outfield Prospects

Alright, we know the 2010 draft is going to be a little down on bats, so this isn't the greatest year to pluck up that pure slugger and plug him into right field for the next 10-15 years. There is still talent to be had, and in particular the high school side offers a group of intriguing athletes (including Austin Wilson, Brian Ragira, Reggie Golden and Chevez Clarke) with plenty of reason to believe a handful of them will step up and fulfill their promise.

Bryce Brentz is the cream of the crop, a gifted athlete that has also starred as a pitcher, giving him a strong arm and powerful bat that likely will wind up in right field.

Todd Cunningham, Michael Choice and Austin Wates represent a trio of college outfielders that have been posting big numbers from non-traditional baseball programs when it comes to developing talent. Josh Sale is one of the draft's best all-around hitters, with power to boot, while the speedy Gary Brown also shows the ability to hit for a high average.
