Top 10 2010 LHP Prospects

This year isn't a good year to load up on lefties, although it is one position that seems to offer the most pleasant surprises. Chris Sale, Drew Pomeranz and Sammy Solis do offer a nice trio of lefties that should go in the first-round of the draft, and Logan Darnell, Rob Rasmussen and Drew Smyly could push themselves into early round consideration as well.

The prep class for lefties offers some promise even if there is no clear-cut early round option. Even if Kevin Ziomek isn't drafted early, we could be talking about this young man as the next best lefty at Vanderbilt following in the footsteps of Jeremy Sowers, David Price and Mike Minor.
