Baseball is almost upon us, and draft day is only five months away. Several junior college programs start later this month, college baseball is just over a month away, and high school ball in the sun belt will start shortly after that. Until then, familiarize yourself with some of the names that will factor into the early rounds of the draft.
Since the summer showcase season has come to a close, it's time to take an early look at how the talent stacks up for the 2011 draft. A handful of college players sit atop the list, including Rice's Anthony Rendon, UCLA's Gerrit Cole, TCU's Matt Purke and UConn's George Springer.
