Top 50 2011 Prospects
9-18-10

Welcome to 5 Tool Talk's first stab at the top 50 prospects eligible for the 2011 draft. It should be a strong year looking at the talent that will be available, highlighted by power arms, lefties and righties, from both the college and prep ranks. Among the college hitters, Anthony Rendon gives the draft one legit all-around player and polished bat at the very top, and George Springer gives the draft one legit 5-tool talent. The prep ranks in particular offer a nice collection of talent in both the infield and outfield. Two-sport stars Archie Bradley and Bubba Starling could be looking at what Zach Lee made with the Dodgers as a starting point for their future contract negotations, as teams may have difficulty prying them away from perennial college football powerhouses Oklahoma and Nebraska respectively.

Just missing the list were Charlie Tilson, Dwight Smith, Mason Robbins, Deshorn Lake, Harold Martinez and Ricky Oropesa.

Click on the players' names listed in red to take you to their Dandy Dozen scouting reports.
