As you can tell by this list going only five deep, this isn't a particularly deep class of prospects for this year's draft. No position really is, but impact bats in particular are at a premium.
The top two may offer the two most promising options for teams looking for a potential middle-of-the-order run producer. Zack Cox has one of the purest swings of those eligible for this year's draft, and is a relatively safe bet to succeed at the next level.
Nick Castellanos is a bigger-bodied prep slugger with impressive hitting instincts and overall power potential. He has good bat speed and great extension, and is off to a very good start this spring. Don't be surprised to see Castellanos go among the top five to 10 overall picks come June.
Gyorko could end up playing second base, while Segedin probably profiles better on an outfield corner. Should a team prefer Kaleb Cowart's bat and glove to his arm, third base may be his best position.
