Analyzing Amateur Baseball Talent as it pertains to the MLB Draft

Mock Draft

No draft is effected by money as the MLB draft is. This simple fact alone drives fans crazy, barking for uniform and mandatory slot values, as opposed to those recommended by the commissioner’s office.

If Stephen Strasburg keeps it up, he should got number one overall, and if he doesn’t, the Nationals deserve to be contracted. There has been some speculation that the Nationals could go a different direction since they also have the 10th overall pick, compensation for not signing Aaron Crow a year ago, but I’m going to keep Strasburg as the first overall pick until I hear something more convincing that the Nationals would actually fathom going with any other player at the top.

The first round goes 32 deep this year, thanks to Crow and Gerrit Cole not signing out of the 2008 draft class.
